Novice

This is one of our key divisions for development of our organization. At this level, players are introduced to competitive league play within Calgary and the surrounding area. Emphasis is placed on continuing to develop individual skills while introducing game play tactics ie: line changes, breakout, give-and-go, and cutting to the net. As well, the shot clock is introduced which gives players 30 seconds once possesion is established to move the ball down the floor and setup a scoring opportunity.
Novice is the first level that is tiered, which means that based on enrollment numbers and our evaluation process, combined with the CDLA tiering policy, players are placed at an "A" or "B" level. We believe that Novice is still a development level preceeding the full competitive levels; Peewee, Bantam, and Midget. All practices are in Okotoks, with games played in Calgary, High River and Okotoks. This year there will be Coach participation by the junior and senior players and staff! So Come On! Get in the game......
